This is the only Authorised inspection and certification business in the Mackay area for life rafts and life jackets.

The incoming operator has to obtain RFD approval. This license is obtained by work experience with the current license holder and a course and examination in Melbourne by RFD.
The business is achieving huge growth mainly due to the newly constructed marina and the regulations on commercial boating. The increase is also due to RFD obtaining other business enterprises and product lines which enabled the licensee/operator to service other products and hence supply the certificate of approval.
The business has also commenced servicing life jackets for the mining & other industries and at present services some 400 life jackets on a yearly basis, this number is increasing at 60% per year due to the expansion in the coal industry.
